As more companies emerge on a mission to uncover cost-savings opportunities, Rivermine, a provider of automated telecom expense management solutions, today announced expanded global offerings through a combination of next-generation software and eXPERTGlobal managed services.
Rivermine’s (News - Alert) latest software release, Rivermine 6.1, is allegedly the industry’s “first” unified wireline and wireless expense management platform available worldwide, company officials said.
“We are currently managing over $350 million in international telecom spend for our customers and there is an increase in demand for more global services. We wanted to provide a comprehensive global service portfolio to our customers to meet and exceed their needs,” said Mark Logan (News - Alert), president and CEO of Rivermine, in explaining the impetus for the TEM vendor’s latest offering.
The demand for telecom expense management has steadily increased, even in the face of the recession as more companies and government agencies are looking for opportunities to reduce their costs and streamline processes. “I see this market continue the trend of high growth and you will start to see more organization’s focusing on expanding the TEM requirements to include global components,” Logan added.
In addressing wireless and wireline expenses, Logan said Rivermine’s “unified” approach produces a more streamlined telecom expense management process.
“Since many organizations want us to manage both their wireless and wireline expenses, we’ve gone beyond other TEM solutions and invested in a unified platform with a singular approach to reporting, inventory and workflow processes that ensures the most current information is always available in one system.”
Rivermine’s global solution can manage stand-alone wireline or wireless assets and expenses, according to company officials. The enhanced wireless portal allows users to self-manage mobile device and service plan ordering and spend management.
Providing an outlook for the future – given that TEM is still in its infancy stages – Logan said the challenges of implementing a global telecom expense management solution center on transparency.
“We feel that the biggest challenge is lack of visibility. Many organizations are managing their telecom environment unsure of what they own and what they’re being billed for. This is where the heavy investment in our technology platform provides Rivermine customers with greater savings and efficiencies than any other provider,” Logan said.
