Rivermine Enhances Telecom Expense Management with Version 6.0

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

In a bid to help organizations preparing for the looming recession, Rivermine (News - Alert) has released Rivermine 6.0, a new version of their telecom expense management software that helps to reduce IT expenditures, automates time-consuming activities and increases visibility in telecom costs.

This latest release is especially significant in today's "tight" economy where saving money whenever possible is truly important.

The new modular solutions can be deployed on-premise or are available as a SaaS (News - Alert) through Rivermine's newly announced eXpertSolutions managed service packages

Rivermine 6.0 includes new features like a TEM Atlas, a graphical network mapping tool.

According to the company, the graphical network maps help users to "more easily understand and interpret network data, make better network decisions through at-a-glance network cost-per-route information and quickly view potential risks associated with network changes. Users can also filter and sort network maps by criteria such as originating locations, terminating locations, service types, and/or network route costs."

Also, a new Web user interface makes using the solution easier with "Windows-style" browser controls, single-click sort functions, flexible exporting capabilities, automatic screen refreshes via AJAX technology and flash-based interactive executive level dashboards.

With Rivermine 6.0 customers have better visibility into the telecom lifecycle including inventory and dispute management tools, as well as reporting and analytics and automated order management and procurement tools. Armed with these capabilities, organizations can gain better control over their telecom spending.

Rivermine 6.0 also supports over 600 Web Services and makes integration quicker and ramp-up time shorter.

The solution is now more global as well and supports multiple languages including double-byte characters, so it can be used in international offices with a number of different currencies and invoice formats.

"The many innovative features in Rivermine 6.0 enable the system to be deployed at an accelerated pace, thereby helping customers realize telecom cost savings as rapidly as possible," said Mark Logan (News - Alert), president and CEO, Rivermine.

"This is incredibly important in this economic environment where budget cuts are rampant and companies are looking to reduce costs immediately."
