Tangoe (News - Alert), a provider of on-demand Communications Lifecycle Management (CLM) software, has acquired Anomalous Networks in a recent deal. Anomalous Networks has a heavy hand in the Telecom Expense Management software industry, and allows small to large businesses to better manage the cost and security risks of deploying carrier-based mobile technologies that eliminate “bill shock.”
“Managing the costs and security risks associated with the deployment of mobile technologies is an increasing challenge for global organizations as a result of the rapid growth and proliferation of connected devices,” said Al Subbloie (News - Alert), president and CEO of Tangoe, in a statement.
Subbloie said that the acquisition of Anomalous Networks will enhance Tangoe’s ability to address this challenge by adding additional best-in-class, real-time expense management capabilities to the company’s industry leading CLM platform.
“Anomalous Networks’ cloud-based TEM technology is highly complementary to our existing solutions, and we believe its compelling value proposition will provide Tangoe with an attractive cross-selling opportunity across our large and growing customer base as well as our business partners,” he said.
This acquisition broadens Tangoe’s CLM coverage to include M2M communication endpoints, extending expense management, asset tracking, and usage control to all types of wireless devices.
Back in December, Tangoe had announced that it has acquired privately held ProfitLine (News - Alert), Inc., a global provider of telecom expense and mobility management services.
ProfitLine delivers a suite of solutions that address the management of fixed and mobile telecom expenses and mobile device management helping global enterprises and government agencies optimize their telecom spend and employee productivity.
The company’s solutions have been deployed across a range of industries, including retail, financial services, healthcare, automotive, energy/utilities, manufacturing, technology, travel/hospitality and government, where the company has received approval to be on the U.S. Government’s GSA (News - Alert) schedule.
