Vocio's TEM Software In Line With AOTMP Study
By Shamila Janakiraman, TMCnet Contributing Editor
AOTMP recently published results of a research study titled, “CFO and CIO Perspectives: A Top-Down View of IT and Telecom Management.”
The study noted that reduction in telecom expenses was a major challenge for CFOs and CIOs.
In response to this, TEM solutions provider Vocio (News - Alert) has noted their telecom expense management software offers mid-market enterprises the required resources to reduce telecom expenses, therefore meeting requirements lined out in the AOTMP study.
The AOTMP study surveyed 275 CFOs and CIOs about managing technology and telecommunications and uncovered that enterprises do not have enough information regarding means and opportunities to reduce telecom expenses.
The report found 56 percent of the companies pinpointed ‘lack of resources’ as the main criteria when managing IT and telecom expenses. Besides this, ‘lack of automation for ongoing management’ and ‘insufficient technical expertise’ were also identified.
Joe Basili, VP of Research for AOTMP said, “AOTMP has found mid-size enterprises are an underserved segment of the market that can benefit from telecom expense management initiatives.”
Vocio’s Telecom Expense Management (TEM) software V-Vision helps companies tackle this problem as cost allocation information is broken down by device for each department and each employee. The software also automates invoice loading, identifies errors and flags while also maintaining inventories of all telecom assets.
CIOs, CFOs, IT management, telecom analysts and procurement managers can make use of the reports generated by the TEM software for negotiation purposes, plan changing and to save costs said Vocio.
Noel Huelsenbeck, president and founder of Vocio commented, “We know from our work with clients that the implementation of telecom expense management software can benefit the company’s financial and IT departments.”
“Gathering information that will allow CFOs to make better strategic decisions can free up capital for innovative technology projects that will further enhance the productivity of an organization and give the company a competitive edge,” he added.
