AOTMP, the authority on standards and best practices for telecom management has announced its plans to host a second annual telecom environment management conference, TEM 2008.
The conference, to be held April 28-May 1, 2008 in Orlando, Florida and is targeted at those holding the responsibility of selecting, reviewing, recommending and managing telecom services and technology and will provide educational sessions and networking events.
Presentations from industry thought leaders, corporate telecom and IT leaders AOTMP experts, and others will be offered and sessions will focus specifically on best practices to meet telecom operational objectives in the areas of: technical integrity, financial accuracy, customer support, strategic organizational support; strategies for effective management; establishing metrics for managing telecom assets; selecting the right technology, and evaluating and implementing enterprise TEM plans.
In response to the praise received for breakout sessions at TEM 2007, the 2008 conference now includes more breakout sessions as well as a new live polling element.
According to AOTMP, the new live polling makes use of interactive communication tools during select sessions "to enable conference attendees to tap into the industry knowledge and experiences of other attendees."
Tim Colwell, AOTMP Vice President of Knowledge Operations and conference chairperson commented," Our sessions featuring live polling will add an exciting dynamic to the conference. Attendees will have the opportunity to help benchmark some of the industry's crucial processes against AOTMP standards and best practices, and understand how their business operations fit in the industry mean."
Telcom Certification will also take place at the event according to AOTMP who also said they will offer five different Specialty Certification programs on-site at the conference including Technology Selection, Wireless Management, Inventory Development, Telecom Management Strategies, and Contract Negotiations.
Each of the telecom certification programs requires six hours of education and successful completion of an online certification exam following the training.
