By further expanding their use of Intervoice's (News - Alert) Media Exchange unified service platform, a large U.K. mobile service provider is now able to support more then 15 million subscribers.
Intervoice Media Exchange is an open-standards, IP-based, IMS-ready software solution that functions in SIP , TDM or mixed network environments.
The multimedia communications platform provides a seamless migration from legacy voice mail systems to next generation messaging and includes a fully programmable intelligent switch that allows dynamic routing of customer calls.
“Media Exchange continues to be the platform of choice for mobile service providers with a growing subscriber base. Today’s announcement is a perfect example of a service provider with a thriving subscriber base who is able to consistently leverage the flexibility of Media Exchange to further enhance its business,” said Jim Milton, President and Chief Operating Officer, Intervoice.
The new order for Media Exchange is in addition to previous orders from March 2007 and June 2007 by the mobile service provider and is estimated to be worth approximately $8.0 million.
Intervoice has said they anticipate recognizing revenue on the contract in its fiscal quarter ending May 2008 and through its fiscal quarter ending May 2009.
