Speech technology provider Loquendo has announced Davide Franco was reappointed the company's CEO as well as Chairman of the Board for a second term.

The decision was made at Loquendo (News - Alert)shareholders' meeting according to company officials this extension is an acknowledgement of Franco's successful steering of the company over the previous two years.

Under Franco, officials said the company has continued to achieve organic revenue growth - even despite the difficult economic climate and the increased competitive pressure prevailing in the speech market.

First appointed CEO of Loquendo in January 2008, Franco has helped the company to enhance as well as expand its product portfolio.

In addition, Franco helped the company create new distribution channels. Company officials said that the company also entered new markets during his earlier two year tenure.

As CEO and chairman, Davide has 'expertly' guided Loquendo towards a more customer-focused approach as well as helped build solid relationships with key partners in addition to keeping the needs of the market and of the company's clients central to its strategy.

During Franco's first term in the office, Loquendo speech technologies were deployed in over 110,000 ports globally and over 10 million mobile and on-board navigation systems.
