Speech technology provider Loquendo has provided its Text to Speech “TTS” technology to Spain-based Caja Madrid.
As per their partnership, the bank has integrated the technology into its nationwide network of Spanish ATMs.
Caja Madrid Group offers a full range of products and retail banking, corporate banking, merchant banking and private banking, serving the needs of over 7.2 million customers.
Davide Franco, CEO at Loquendo (News - Alert), said that Caja Madrid has selected Loquendo speech technologies to improve accessibility in its network of ATMs.
With the deployment of Loquendo’s multilingual TTS, Caja Madrid’s ATMs are now able to provide audible operational instructions in Castilian Spanish, Catalan, Galician, Valencian, Portuguese, French, German and English.
In addition, with Loquendo’s solution, Caja Madrid’s speech-enabled ATMs can now read out the screen menu as well as instructions and transaction details.
Company officials said this assists the user and also ensures the maximum level of security during operation, especially for the visually impaired.
Additionally, all ATMs feature a specially adapted headphone socket to guarantee confidentiality.
Earlier this month, Loquendo announced that the Loquendo MRCP Server - in its Loquendo Speech Suite 7.0 version, which incorporates Loquendo ASR 7.8 and Loquendo TTS 7.8 – has been made interoperable with the Genesys (News - Alert) voice platform 8.1.
