Fleet management solutions provider Cordic offers a highly innovative solution for taxi companies that automates taxi bookings. To voice-enable this offering, the company has chosen speech technologies provider Loquendo for their ASR and TTS technologies.
As per the partnership with Loquendo (News - Alert), Cordic’s cPAQ taxi dispatch system now includes IVR capabilities so that customers can book jobs, check on the progress of their bookings, and don’t have to speak to an operator or staff member to get information.
Powered by Loquendo ASR automatic speech recognition and Loquendo TTS synthetic speech technologies, the offering not only recognizes a repeat callers number and prompts them for a pickup, but it also offers callers a number of other options and lets the caller know their specific status by speaking the information back to them using Loquendo's lifelike voices.
“Cordic chose Loquendo technology for the reliability of its speech recognition and the quality of its human-like voices,” said Fara Arani, Commercial Director of Cordic.
“Cordic’s IVR solution can enable the automated handling of between 25 percent to 40 percent of a taxi company’s workload. And, our market leading voice recognition feature is the first to enable automated taxi bookings that comply with regulatory requirements set out by the Public Carriage Office in London”.
With the IVR solution, it is possible for even non-experts to edit each spoken message and produce reliable, natural sounding services that customers can use with ease and that helps workforce’s to optimize their operations.
Loquendo’s technologies make it possible to easily create speech-enabled applications in many widely spoken languages. Currently there are 25 languages and 60 voices available.
Most recently, the company announced the addition of Colombian Spanish to its family of ASR voices. TTS technology has been available in Colombian Spanish since 2006.
