Loquendo Speech Technologies and PIKA Telephony Boards Now Interoperable

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

PIKA Technologies (News - Alert) and Loquendo announced today interoperability between Loquendo's Speech Technologies and PIKA's Digital T1/E1 PrimeNet MM boards, via Paraxip PSTN-to-SIP Gateway (News - Alert) software.

The partnership will help system integrators and service developers better create voice services and automation features as well as Unified Messaging and infomobility solutions.

PIKA manufactures and designs plug-in media processing hardware and software building blocks. Their Digital T1/E1 PrimeNet MM Boards provide voice processing, echo cancellation and speech detection and are available in multiple densities. These options will now be available to Loquendo's clients to improve their creation process.

Through the partnership PIKA aso gains better ground in the automated voice apps market for SMBs by utilizing Loquendo's Speech recognition and Text-to-Speech (TTS) technologies.

According to a news release, the VoiceXML capabilities provided by the partnership will also be of significance for Loquendo's clients.

Loquendo also announced today the launch of a new joint solution together with SpeechVillage and Voxpilot to improve the cost, speed and way in which service developers and application designers bring interactive voice services to market.

The solution, the Silver Bullet, is a platform that is perfect for any level user and allows for smooth migration from simple DTMF to advanced speech applications.
