Speech recognition and text to speech solutions provider, Loquendo (News - Alert), has introduced the newest member to its family of TTS voices – Steven.
This new male voice is offered in the American English language and increases the number of U.S. English voices offered by the company to five.
Other languages Loquendo TTS currently offers include: U.K. English, American Spanish, Mexican, Chilean and Argentinean Spanish, Castilian, Catalan, Valencian, Galician, Brazilian, Portuguese, Italian, Esperanto, German, French, Dutch, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Swedish, Turkish, Canadian French and Polish, in both male and female voices.
Loquendo TTS offers emotional, lifelike speech that sounds natural and realistic.
With the voices, not only are they able to expand their market reach, they can also provide users with greater choice and flexibility when speech enabling applications including telephony, multimedia and embedded applications for all sectors.
Back in July, Loquendo released version 7.5 of Loquendo TTS with a number of advancements and new features as well as a new look and feel.
The features offered for Loquendo TTS makes designing the prompts easy thanks to a Voice Creator feature that make it possible to modify the speaking rate, pitch and timbre of a voice, as well as the User-Driven Unit Selection Tool for improving intonation and pronunciation as needed. Also included is a Reading Styles feature that can be activated or deactivated and is great when creating long and complex prompts and a Voice Flavor feature that allows users to listen back to prompts exactly as customers will hear them.
