Loquendo Releases Latest MRCP Server

By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor

Speech technology provider Loquendo (News - Alert) is making interoperability with leading voice platforms even easier with the newest releases of their MRCP Server.

The latest automatic configuration tool, MRCP Server series 7, includes significant new enhancements and makes it possible for systems operators to do things like "automatically configure all Loquendo MRCP Server parameters in order to interoperate with various platforms, stopping and restarting the MRCP server automatically."

In response to many requests to build these tools, the latest offering is interoperable with leading voice platforms and open source MRCP clients.

According to the company, their Loquendo MRCP Server supports Microsoft Windows 2003 Server (SP1), Windows 2000 Server (SP4), and XP Professional (SP2), Red Hat (News - Alert) Enterprise Linux versions 3 and 5.

Also, the company notes that all versions of Loquendo MRCP Server support the MRCP v1 and MRCP v2 standards.

The new optimized server solution is perfect for deploying speech in contact centers and other large-scale telephony applications such as message/email reading and other self service applications.

Using the server, system integrators can improve IVR without spending a lot, or comprising customer satisfaction.

With the new Automatic Configuration Tool, Loquendo MRCP Server in MRCP v1 profile is now interoperable, among others, with Genesys (News - Alert) Voice Platforms GVP 7.2 and 7.6, Avaya Voice Portal 4, Cisco Carrier Routing System 4.0 and 5.0 and Cisco Customer Voice Portal 3.0 and 4.0.

Loquendo also said that with the C++ MRCP Client, "generic clients can be created for both MRCPv1 and MRCPv2: this is based on an API layer from Openmrcp.org distributed under the Mozilla Public License 1.1."
