One of the biggest companies in the United States when it comes to software licensing, Flexera Software has announced it is going to open a new headquarters at the Sci-Tech Daresbury. The firm is taking over an office space measuring 4,848 square feet at the Vanguard House. Flexera has announced when it moves into this location it will bring about 30 staff members from its Cheshire base.
The idea of Sci-Tech Daresbury is to set up a kind of technological headquarters in the U.K. similar to Silicon Valley in the United States. In order to attain that goal, the Vanguard House needs to lure as many big tech companies from around the world to this location. Still, it seems likely the maneuver to get Flexera on board isn’t simply a matter of getting as many tech companies as possible. Software licensing is a field in the tech world leading the pack.
Firms like Cisco have been working hard in order to conquer this particular sector of the tech business world. Those companies have learned the hard way there is a serious need for change. Other firms, like Blackberry are watching their own goals when it comes to the success of their software licensing fade away.
Flexera, on the other hand, is indeed viewed as a giant in its industry and because of that, the firm is singularly attractive to organizations like those setting up shop at Sci-Tech Daresbury. "Flexera is a business operating at the very forefront of innovation right across the world.” John Downes, the chief executive of Langtree and the director of the Sci-Tech Daresbury said in a recent statement announcing the addition of Flexera. Both Flexera and the group it is now joining believe more companies are going to follow suit.
