SoftwareONE Sets Up New Location in Leeds

Whether you are a fortune 500 company or the startup down the street, software licensing is something that always comes into play. Software compliance and license management are integral in avoiding a software audit and ensuring that a firm is getting the most out of its software deployment.

SoftwareONE is a Swiss Software licensing firm that has had its “skin” in the game now for 30 years, and with global offices in over 80 countries has quite the global footprint. But much like a child who grows out of his shoes, this firm is expanding. This week, the self-proclaimed “software licensing experts” announced it will be opening a new office in Yorkshire county.

“Establishing a presence for SoftwareONE in Leeds will not only create more jobs, but it will also present a huge opportunity for us to support the emerging and evolving technology scene in the North,” explained Head of Northern Accounts at SoftwareONE Tracy Parish.

The new office in Leeds, U.K. is a direct result of the firm signing several large clients in the region, and SoftwareONE has already taken on 14 new staff members with eight more expected by the end of the calendar year. All told, a total of 50 new hires will man the firm’s newest outpost.

Parish explains that outside of London, Leeds is the most active economic area boasting more than 100,000 businesses. Parish notes, “We have invested heavily in the growth of the team in Leeds and will continue to do so, to ensure we can offer the very best, customer-focused service to new and existing clients.” 

Software licensing is not something to take lightly. The misuse of software could reap devastating consequences for a company, regardless of size or industry. SoftwareONE is positioned to continue its prosperity into this new region, and I would stay tuned because this may not be the end of its expansion.
