Give Customers What They Want

Veruca Salt so succinctly demanded, “I want it now,” what should be the slogan of the digital age. Our always-on, always plugged-in world demands that vendors deliver customers the solution they want and in short order. Simply put, digital transformation has transformed us.

Meeting the demands of modern customers starts with understanding your product through their eyes – what they like, what they dislike and general thoughts on the product- as well as how they enjoyed their interaction with your company.  The user experience is central to this feedback cycle. Develop a user-friendly interface that demonstrates the value that you want to deliver to them- easy to use and automatically handling updates, new releases.  Allow to buy your software any way they want to purchase with feature packages and flexible billing models.

A positive user experience is a competitive edge.  You may provide the most robust, comprehensive software solutions on the market, but if it’s difficult to do business with your company- the only people who are happy are your competitors! Recent research highlights that almost 90 percent of customers will not return to a website after a bad experience.

Recently Gemalto’s (News - Alert) Sentinel ® solutions sat down with HPE to talk about the importance of  feedback on improving customer satisfaction.  HPE wanted to provide a single user experience for their customers when they purchase one of their many products residing in separate licensing data bases with different ways to access them, activate them and deliver them.  The issue became more complex as they transformed to a software driven company.   Dana Whitmore, HPE’s   Software Supply Chain Strategy Team Leader presented at LicensingLIve! about HPE’s journey to provide customers with a great experience- as both company and portfolios evolve.
