QSC to Present at LicensingLive! 2018

LicensingLive! 2018 is just around the corner. This Gemalto event, which focuses on the importance of software licensing and monetization in our new, on-demand and subscription-based world, will run Nov. 12 through Nov. 13 at the San Jose Marriott Downtown.


Chris Humphrey and TJ Adams of QSC, which provides audio, video, and control products, are among the features speakers. Humphrey is vice president of marketing at the company. Adams is senior director of product line management.

Together they’ll present a session titled “Driving Disruption and Transformation to Deliver Customer Value”. The presentation will discuss how audio visual communications and collaboration solution providers are moving from selling hardware solutions to expanding their portfolios with software and service-centric solutions. Adams and Humphrey will talk about their own journey on this front. They’ll detail how they developed their vision, adapted company strategy, and overcame internal and external hurdles with the help of Gemalto (News - Alert).

In addition to his current title, Adams also has served DSP product manager and core development team leader for QSC. He’s also worked in product and sales management for Biamp (News - Alert) systems.


Humphrey has been with QSC for two years and in the technology arena for two decades. He’s also served as VP Innovation and VP General Manager at Honeywell; VP Strategy, Marketing and Engineering at Maxwell Technologies (News - Alert); and VP Corporate Marketing at QLogic.

Other LicensingLive! 2018 speakers include Gemalto’s Shlomo Weiss, who will talk about how to “Get The Most Value From Your Software in the Digital Age” and Dale Hopkinson, who will present on how to “Reduce Risks and Ensure Business Continuity with Licensing as a Service”.

Aria Systems CIO and co-founder Brendan O’Brien will be in San Jose presenting a session called “The Subscription Wave is becoming the Subscription Tsunami”. Dana Whitmore, the software supply chain strategy team leader at HPE, will be on hand to deliver the “Providing Customers with a Great Experience as Both Portfolio and Company Evolve – It Matters!” address.

Joshua Bloom will discuss how businesses are “Getting the Competitive Advantage by Understanding the Difference between Pricing and Licensing”. He’s with Simon-Kucher & Partners.

And Constellation Research’s Ray Wang will explain “Why Software License Management Is At The Heart Of Monetizing Your Digital Business”.
