Software companies need to juggle many balls today. They need to keep their digital supply chain as a competitive advantage in the NOW economy.  In addition, they need to provide an easy and delightful customer experience while cutting costs and delivering value to their shareholders.

Software companies can improve their operational efficiencies and cut costs while providing a great user experience and responding to customers demand!

On Wednesday, August 16 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT, Software Monetization company Gemalto (News - Alert) will present a Webinar entitled “Driving Operational Efficiency in the Digital Supply Chain.” The event will be presented by three speakers with strong backgrounds in operations: David DiMillo (ops experience in IBM (News - Alert)), Vickie White (ops in Gemalto) and Manoj Tharakan (ops in Cisco).

Attendees will learn how to replace older, expensive and inefficient legacy systems for software security management with modern software monetization technologies.

“Introducing new products is a huge operational challenge a lot of times for hardware based companies when they’re switching toward software and electronic delivery for a few reasons,” said Gemalto’s Vickie White in a preview video for the Webinar. “One reason is that the operational team itself – all the people, the skills on the team – are often built or geared toward hardware delivery, which isn’t relevant so much in the software industry. The other reason is that there’s assumed simplicity when the design teams are designing a product, they assume they don’t need to engage with the operations team early on like they would have to with a hardware product.”

There are, however, just some of the complexities to think about when it comes to software-based processes and virtual deliverables.  How the product is going to be delivered to the customer is too often an afterthought, when it should be considered at the beginning of the design process if software monetization is to be maximized. Gemalto’s webinar is intended to help clear up any confusion around delivering software licenses in an effective way that saves money, is flexible and increases revenue.
