Tadiran Telecom, a global IP business telephone and communications supplier, has announced the Coral Sea Navigator. This latest solution is designed to deliver Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) functionality with multimedia over IP.
The Navigator is the newest feature to launch as part of Tadiran’s Coral Sea Softswitch, which is a uniquely rich-client, unified single-server solution designed to provide organizations with a single platform for more reliable, efficient and cost-effective business interactions.
The advanced Coral Sea Softswitch software architecture is set to be demonstrated for the first time at Tadiran’s (News - Alert) Annual Channel Partners Meeting Product Launch Event. Dubbed, ‘Coral Sea on the Sea,’ this event is to be held on a cruise ship that sets sail this week from Miami.
“Our feature-rich, single-server solution is attracting new resellers, increasing our reseller channel by more than 5 percent in this past month alone,” said Tadiran Telecom, Inc.’s CEO Zeev Rubinstein, in a Monday statement.
“Other leading suppliers require multiple servers to accomplish what we do with one. Fewer servers mean less administration, fewer passwords, less potential for failures and, of course, less cost.”
Designed around a user instead of a phone number or port, the Coral Sea Softswitch and its Navigator offer many favorite user features and capabilities that include easy integration with any cell phone, Outlook integration, call preferences, contact management, instant messaging, advanced call logging, person call rules and more.
A presence application, the Navigator allows users to see the status of other users, set up buddy lists and personal profiles. It also provides a visual user interface for managing voice conference bridges, making and receiving voice and video calls and instant message options. Users can route and redirect inbound calls based on personal preferences.

The demand for Unified Communications within the enterprise is growing as more users are demanding it and executives are recognizing the cost benefits of such technology options. For companies such as Tadiran who are launching innovative solutions to enable the enterprise to embrace such technologies, the market opportunity is promising and should lead to significant adoption.
