Hostcomm is a worldwide hosted IP provider, and one of the ways the company stays at the top of the heap is by improving its offerings every now and then. Most recently, the company announced it has increased capacity across its entire network by investing in an additional VoIP softswitch. The company believes this particular softswitch will increase the firm’s capacity by 1,000 lines and build in some additional fail-safes. This in turn means that customers are basically guaranteed service continuity.
By continuing to invest in a great VoIP infrastructure. This in turn means the companies mesh design network and allows individual data centers to work together to maintain Hostcomm service standards. The additional softswitch is just the latest improvement on the company. Earlier this year Hostcomm announced it had launched a predictive dialer API that is set to help its customers automate their key call center processes.
While the softswitch allows for increased capacity, it also provides automatic failover if there happens to be a carrier problem somewhere along the line. With this function, traffic is rerouted to another carrier, avoiding almost all prolonged down time.
“Dialer servers put a great deal of stress on server hardware and databases due to the volume of calls and data generated,” said Chris Key, director at Hostcomm, in a recent statement announcing the investment. “We ensure our network infrastructure is ready to meet the unique demands of dialer stress, maintaining service standards for businesses.”
The reinvestment by Hostcomm comes at a time when quite a few call centers are making a move away from land based phone service. As VoIP technology continues to improve, more and more businesses are seeing the added benefits of using an IP-based service. By building up its offerings, Hostcomm continues to be one of the go-to firms in the world for this type of service.
