TelcoBridges (News - Alert), a manufacturer of high-density VoIP media gateways, recently signed a partnership agreement with IT and telecommunications solutions provider Omtel to serve Mexican carriers and service providers.
Omtel is said to have completed delivering TMG3200 media gateways to one of Mexico’s largest carriers. Omtel worked with TelcoBridges to a help the carrier leverage TelcoBridges media gateways to transition IP back into TDM and still let customers retain their legacy PBX (News - Alert) systems.
The Mexican carrier, which Omtel supplied the TMG3200 gateways, was in need of reliable equipment to be installed over its fiber and wireless network because of its expanding customer base.
Judith Trujillo Trujillo, commercial manager for Omtel, commented, “We evaluated different media gateways for this deployment and we liked Tmedia the best. Not only did TelcoBridges solve the immediate problem, but they also offer the right combination of performance and technical support that tier-1 carriers’ demand. TelcoBridges explained that the TMG3200 is its workhorse VoIP gateway. Recognized for its uncompromising reliability, high-capacity and high-performance, the TMG3200 is an 8 to 64 T1/E1 (or 1 to 3 DS3, or 1 OC3/STM-1) port VoIP gateway that offers the industry’s highest density SS7 gateway in a single box (2U) solution. Like the other Tmedia Gateways, TMG3200 too features analytics suite of monitoring and diagnostic tools for letting users realize better management and control over their entire network.
TelcoBridges asserted that it is excited to be working with a company like Omtel and the successful usage of its gateways only demonstrates the flexibility of its technology. The company is also looking forward to continued efforts with Omtel to help more customers in the future.
