To bring even more functionality to Gmail and Google Apps, SimpleSignal (News - Alert) and gUnify have become partners to allow users to seamlessly use SimpleSignal’s hosted PBX from within their Gmail and Google Apps user interface.
This service also supports integrations with cloud solutions such as Salesforce, Zoho, Apptivo and Clio. Deployment of this service is easy and fast; users can deploy it in minutes via the Google (News - Alert) Apps domain control panel and there is no software, plugins or hardware required for this purpose.
The gUnify service offers users the ability to click-to-call from within their Google Apps, including Gmail, calendar, Google Talk and contacts.
To use this service, users make calls from their SimpleSignal deskphone or mobile phone. Users can also perform voice communication activities such as call duration, date, time, notes and contact information. This service automatically identifies telephone numbers from within Google Apps that are not associated with users’ Google contacts, allowing them to quickly identify the missing information from their Google Apps contact database.
SimpleSignal is a cloud-based unified communications and collaboration (UC&C) provider for business. The company provides the most innovative and advanced mobile/video PBX capabilities in the industry and also extended video PBX telephony over iPads, iPhones and Android (News - Alert) mobile devices.
“At SimpleSignal we’re committed to providing voice integrations with all popular SaaS products and gUnify is a big part of helping us make that happen,” said Michael Sterl, EVP of Sales for SimpleSignal, in a statement. He added, “Google Apps is obviously one of the biggest SaaS (News - Alert) offerings on the market and this was a really critical integration for us.”
