Consumer-Friendly Personal Assistant myBantu Globally Available

By Calvin Azuri, TMCnet Contributor

myBantu.com, a smart personal assistant that provides consumers with personalized and relevant recommendations, announced today the global availability of its consumer-friendly, smart personal assistant for Facebook (News - Alert) and mobile devices.

The personal assistant provides consumers with highly personalized assistance in matching the most desirable commerce, entertainment and lifestyle “wants and needs” based on individual preferences and their social network, according to company officials.

Built over a platform intelligence called “myBantu ActiveRelevance” myBantu is a patent-pending personal assistant that provides users of Facebook and several mobile devices around three to nine relevant recommendations depending on the taste, profile, and peer influence of the user.

Freely available on Android (News - Alert) mobiles, iPhone and Facebook, myBantu is a service that will get you addicted and make you a richer personal profile, officials explain.

In a release, CEO and Founder of myBantu Bhaskar Enaganti said, “What makes myBantu unique compared to other recommendation sites and apps is that it uses the user’s context to intelligently source very personalized and relevant recommendations. Now, consumers have a powerful and smart personal assistant that combines the wisdom of the Web, social networks, and experts to provide users with recommendations that are most relevant to them in a timely fashion.”

A user’s most desired lifestyle preferences, social preferences for shopping, dining, events, and entertainment are instantly available from myBantu after choosing to deploy the service. This replaces the need for Yelp (News - Alert) and OpenTable search engines, which are a la carte solutions, according to company officials. Furthermore, myBantu allows for users to turn to these recommendations and act upon them by making restaurant bookings, movie ticket bookings, or gift purchases, among other things. For example, when planning a “date night,” a user will get all the recommendations they require based upon preferences such as peer influence, previous usage behavior and the user’s profile itself.

myBantu is available in the Android marketplace and the Apple (News - Alert) App Store.
