Yprintit, makers of the QR Code Electronic Business Card App, today announced that a BlackBerry version of the business and social networking application, which is available as an IPhone and Android (News - Alert) App currently, will be released in 2011. Yprintit which has been designed as a free QR code application makes it easy for users to create and share digital business cards (QR Cards) based on QR Codes with other users of the app across mobile platforms and other devices supporting QR code reader technology.

Smartphones typically feature a QR Code scanner which reads information contained in a QR Code by taking a photo of it. Yprintit provides users with enhanced multimedia-based social networking and transfers electronic business cards between devices which have QR Code Readers and feature the Yprintit app installed, by using QR Code technology. The app also sends updates to users whenever a contact changes any detail on their card and allows users to attach multimedia files to their cards, and enables them to transfer a card to a contact.

There is a growing awareness of the damaging impact that most current technologies have on the environment. This has lead to the creation and adoption of more environmentally-friendly technology options which include energy-saving office equipment and appliances, recycled paper, reusable components and business software. The Yprintit app was created keeping in mind the importance of having more environmentally friendly technology.

Companies using electronic business card system can benefit from increased cost savings, as money otherwise invested in the annual production of business cards is eliminated and can be used to further other avenues of the business. Electronic business card system provides flexibility as businesses can change design and information on cards without incurring additional costs.

The BlackBerry (News - Alert) version of the Yprintit app will house similar features present in the iPhone and Android versions of Yprintit. Users of the BlackBerry version of the app can enjoy the complete range of functionality currently available on other versions. Users can also exchange QR code electronic business cards with other BlackBerry and iPhone (News - Alert) and Android users.

In a release, a company spokesperson said that "With iPhone and Android versions of the free Yprintit app already available on the iPhone App Store and Android Market, interest has been growing on the user side for a BlackBerry version of this truly effective business and social networking tool. We are happy to announce that a BlackBerry version of the free Yprintit QR Code business card application is in the works, and will be released in 2011. The new version of the app will allow our growing fan base of BlackBerry Smartphone users to enjoy the app on their devices and truly integrate with the rest of the Yprintit community."
