Cbeyond Picks Fuzed Marketing as Winner of Social Media Contest

Cbeyond (News - Alert), a provider of IT and communications services to small businesses, announced that Ben Nesvig of Fuzed Marketing is the winner of its month-long social media contest, which encouraged participants to post tweets on the benefits of small businesses moving to the cloud.
In a release Brent Cobb, Cbeyond’s chief revenue and customer officer, said, “Small businesses are using social media tools in creative ways to promote their brands and connect with customers and prospects in an engaging and interactive way. This contest provided a platform on which small businesses could build a conversation and share with others their best practices on leveraging cloud computing to boost productivity and profitability.”
Company sources added that Nesvig works for Fuzed Marketing, which is a marketing resource located in suburban Minneapolis. Nesvig was selected as the winner of an iPad 2 as his tweet received the maximum number of re-tweets.
“We have first-hand experience with the value of social media and cloud computing. We were glad that a company like Cbeyond was using a contest format to enable us to reach other small businesses through this medium,” Nesvig added.
Cbeyond’s IT and communications services are used by over 58,000 small businesses in the U.S. The services are used by growing entrepreneurs via the company’s productivity-enhancing applications including local and long-distance voice, broadband Internet, mobile, BlackBerry (News - Alert), voicemail, email, Web hosting, fax-to-email, data backup, file-sharing, and virtual private networking.
According to company sources, Cbeyond’s Cloud Services division offers virtual and dedicated services and cloud PBX to small businesses. The Cloud Services division won Microsoft’s (News - Alert) Hosting Partner of the Year Award for 2009 and 2010 in connection with Microsoft’s Hyper-V Server product. The company strives to help small businesses grow by leveraging high-performance technology, services and optimum support.
Cbeyond, Inc. sponsored the second annual Womenetics’ symposium for women business owners, “Entrepreneurs 2011: Turning Vision into Value,” according to a TMCnet news release.
