8x8, Inc. Makes Two Executive Appointments to its Management Team

VoIP provider 8x8, Inc. announced today two new executive appointments to its management team. Dan Weirich and Ramprakash Narayanaswamy assume the roles of Vice President of Operations and Vice President of Engineering, respectively.
 
“We are fortunate to have this caliber of talent on board and welcome them both to the executive management team,” 8x8’s president, Richard Murray, said of Weirich and Narayanaswamy, in a press release.
 
Dan Weirich
 
Weirich, formerly Director of Strategic Sales at 8x8, now will oversee day-to-day Packet8 and Virtual Office service delivery, along with sales and billing operations for the company.
 
Before joining 8x8, Weirich was a business development, finance and operations consultant in both the U.S. and Asia, a role in which he managed acquisition and restructuring initiatives for IT and telecommunications firms.
 
Weirich’s former titles include Vice President of Business Development at iAsiaWorks, Inc., Acquisition Integration Manager for Business Markets at Qwest Communications International, Inc., and Financial Analyst for Phoenix Network, Inc.
 
Ramprakash Narayanaswamy
 
Narayanaswamy also joins the management team from another role at 8x8, that of Software Architecture & Engineering Director. In his new role he is in charge of all the company’s engineering operations.
 
Prior to working for 8x8, Narayanaswamy held various software engineering positions with companies both in the U.S. and India. His former titles include Enterprise Software Architect at Nextance Inc., Director of Tools Architecture and Development at Bluelight.com, and Senior Software Engineer at Sun Microsystems Inc.
 
Narayanaswamy brings more than 15 years experience in the software industry to 8x8.
