SIP Provider AireSpring Partners with ShoreTel

A Los Angeles, Calif.-based Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert), or SIP, provider has teamed up with a provider of IP unified communications solutions to let companies integrate IP-based communications with business processes for “a more collaborative and productive environment.”
AireSpring announced it is integrating its SIP Trunking products with ShoreTel's distributed UC platform. With the certification, ShoreTel (News - Alert) and AireSpring customers can access to SIP Trunking solutions and cost-effective communications, company officials said.
ShoreTel helps organizations of all sizes integrate communications with business and operational processes. The company’s architecture extends enterprise-class voice, video, data and messaging services to every office, letting employees be connected wherever they go, officials said.
"Many of ShoreTel's customers are looking for ways to reduce their network costs,” Kevin Gavin (News - Alert), vice president of marketing at ShoreTel, said in a statement. “AireSpring's SIP Trunking solution provides our customers with a solution to do just that. With AireSpring's (News - Alert) nationwide reach, their SIP Trunking product suite and ShoreTel UC solutions, customers can quickly lower the overall TCO, and improve employee productivity with ShoreTel's easy-to-use features."
AireSpring SIP Trunking delivers voice over IP/SIP solutions helping organizations receive low rates on call. The company’s SIP Trunking product helps organizations seamlessly scale their UC systems when used with ShoreTel UC solutions. In addition, it addresses the needs of growing companies or organizations looking for integration and scalability, company officials said.
"In today's economy, many companies are looking for ways to cut costs and improve operational efficiency, and they are recognizing the value of SIP-based platforms in reducing routing charges and integration costs," Daniel Lonstein, chief operating officer for AireSpring, said in a statement. "By ensuring the interoperability of AireSpring SIP Trunking products with ShoreTel UC solutions, we are delivering the services our customers want with the equipment they trust. Customers can see potential cost savings of up to 40 percent over traditional platform routing."
Thanks to the growing interest in the technology, SIP Trunking adoption is on the rise. According to a recent Infonetics Research (News - Alert) report, about 39 percent of survey respondents have deployed SIP. In The report also found that by 2010, SIP trunking will likely become the second most commonly deployed trunking service.
