AireSpring Announces New Long Distance Product

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

AireSpring (News - Alert), a provider of High Speed Internet, Long Distance, Local, and SIP solutions recently released a new long distance product, “AireSpring LD.” The new offering targets medium to enterprise class businesses that want to leverage next generation voice over IP (VoIP) and reduce their phone costs without replacing their existing phone equipment.

Available over a comprehensive nationwide footprint, the new Airespring LD product brings two T-1s worth of capacity, 48 lines of traffic, over a single circuit to a company’s phone system enabling them to save up to 50 percent on their monthly recurring charges. AireSpring LD can also handle the heavy call traffic associated with call centers and companies with high intensity calling patterns.

According to AireSpring COO, Daniel Lonstein, they built Airespring LD to deliver next generation services, flexibility, and rates to companies with legacy phone systems.

Noting that it is a real advantage to get two T1s worth of capacity for little more than the cost of one, Lonstein also said they have added features that customers could never get with a traditional Long Distance T1, such as nationwide inbound only phone numbers.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, AireSpring is one of the fastest growing telecommunications carriers in the U.S., with over 3 billion call records processed every year.

In March, the company was awarded the coveted Telecom Association "Members Choice" award for SIP Trunking. With
SIP Trunking, organizations can not only cut international and interstate call costs, but also increase call quality and reduce points of failure.

Earlier this year, AireSpring announced
successful interoperability between Aspect (News - Alert) Software's SIP-based solutions and their SIP Trunking products. The company said that Aspect can utilize and interoperate with AireSpring’s SIP Trunking suite of products to route calls directly to SIP-based voice over IP (VoIP) contact center products, like Aspect Unified IP.
