IVR Technologies, Inc., a developer of RADIUS billing replacement and SIP server solutions, is now offering several Windows Mobile Smartphone applications, which can be used with Talking SIP, IVR’s fully integrated application, media and billing server. 

 

The smartphone applications in question are designed to integrate tightly and seamlessly into Windows Mobile 6-powered devices and facilitate calling card and callback calls. These applications provide a simple way of making long distance calls help customers save money at the same time.

 

IVR Technologies’ Smartphone Calling Card and Callback applications are accessed through a voice tag, speed dial, and also through the Windows Start menu. Users can select the destination party directly from their contact list or by dialing the number to initiate the calling card or callback request.

 

In addition, through the calling card application, calls go through immediately and the application handles the sending of caller authentication, login and destination information.

The new smartphone applications from IVR Technologies are likely to be very popular, given the Windows Mobile integration. IDC (News - Alert) recently reported that Microsoft’s worldwide converged mobile device shipments grew 135 percent  year-over-year in 2006. The firm expects that Windows Mobile will experience the largest growth of any mobile operating system worldwide, at 75.6 percent, through the year 2010. 

 

Sher noted that, due to Microsoft’s growing market share of the mobile smartphone market, there is tremendous opportunity for these applications and to the service providers that implements them into their networks.
