Sagem-Interstar Teams with Ingenium Software to Optimize Branch Offices with Cisco AXP-XMediusFAX FoIP Solution

By Michelle Robart, TMCnet Editor

Ingenium Software teams up with IP fax leader Sagem-Interstar (News - Alert) to leverage the latest Cisco IP networking architectures, including the recently announced Cisco Application eXtension Platform (AXP), a “green” IT solution which optimizes branch office infrastructures.
Sagem-Interstar, a global innovator in advanced fax solutions for IP networks, today announced it has signed an agreement with Atlanta-based enterprise software technology provider, Ingenium Software.
The new partnership was formed between the two companies in an effort to extend the benefits of IP fax as part of a complete unified communications (UC) strategy.
Under the terms of the deal, Ingenium will be offering Sagem-Interstar’s entire XMediusFAX Fax over IP (FoIP) server software suite, enabling its customers to benefit from more efficient collaboration and accelerated ROI on converged IP and UC infrastructures.
Besides the XMediusFAX SP, Enterprise and Express FoIP software editions, Ingenium will also be leveraging Sagem-Interstar’s Cisco (News - Alert) AXP–XMediusFAX FoIP green IT solution for enhancing UC strategies and branch office environments.
The Cisco AXP–XMediusFAX FoIP solution made its debut last April at the Cisco Partner Summit in Hawaii. It is the first IP fax solution to run inside a Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR) over the Cisco Application Extension Platform (AXP). This capability improves network virtualization and reduces hardware footprint in branch offices.
According to Doug Olive, president, Ingenium Software, “IP fax is emerging rapidly and extensively in UC deployments. The fax server market is undergoing a real paradigm shift toward integration of FoIP solutions such as Sagem-Interstar’s XMediusFAX server.”
He added, “As a Platinum member of Sagem-Interstar’s recently launched 4-Tier Channel Partner (News - Alert) Program, Ingenium will be better armed with all the dedicated training, support and incentives required in offering leading-edge FoIP solutions geared at today’s UC-connected and highly mobile workforce.”
Sagem-Interstar Vice President of Business Development, Christian Larocque shares his enthusiasm with the company’s new partnership with Ingenium Software, a skilled provider of business productivity solutions.
“Ingenium brings a wealth of expertise that will enhance our capability to deliver customer satisfaction with its professional services and local presence in the region contributing to our mutual success,” said Larocque.

As a “green” solution, Cisco AXP–XMediusFAX helps businesses reduce their energy consumption, streamlines costs, cuts down on paper usage and also improves document communication, collaboration, and productivity. It does all this while also providing more value to Cisco ISRs deployed worldwide in enterprises today.
With the Cisco AXP-XMediusFAX solution, businesses gain fundamental benefits such as:
-- Highly secure fax communication within the Cisco ISR environment.
-- Elimination of traditional faxing costs (i.e., printing, paper, toner, maintenance, dedicated.
-- Reduction of hardware footprint in the enterprise branch, eliminating single-purpose server hardware, thereby decreasing energy consumption – a green initiative.
-- Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with XMediusFAX software-only solution (no expensive fax boards or third-party integration required).
