Interbit Data Launches New Virtualized Fax Solution for NetDelivery and NetFax Report Distribution

Nowadays, healthcare firms must deal with increasing patient loads and the arduous task of meeting government and industry compliance requirements.  Naturally, they are constantly on the lookout for ways to reduce costs and simplify document management.

To meet this need, Interbit Data, a provider of software and services designed to optimize information exchange in the healthcare industry, recently introduced NetFoIP, a fully digital fax over IP solution designed to provide completely virtualized faxing for NetDelivery and NetFax, the company’s healthcare report distribution solutions.

Interbit’s IP fax products are designed to deliver fax information securely over the Internet. Its products are currently used by more than 750 customers worldwide.

The company explained that NetFoIP, by virtualizing the NetDelivery and NetFax servers, will help hospitals improve operational efficiency, remove hardware constraints and create automatic fail-over configurations for enhanced reliability. Hospitals will now be able to configure inbound faxing rules utilizing direct inward dialing technology, which will enable both inbound and outbound fax routing. They will also be able to remove or consolidate fax machines and modems.

Notably, NetFoIP doesn’t require an existing voice over IP network or an extensive and costly modification to the existing phone system.

"By virtualizing information distribution with digital fax communications, we are helping healthcare organizations to achieve their goals. In addition, NetFoIP's 'soft migration' technology allows healthcare organizations to avoid sending faxes over an aging Telco infrastructure, regardless of whether or not they have an existing VoIP network," said Ken Hoffman (News - Alert), president of Interbit Data, in a statement.

Furthermore, hospitals utilizing NetFoIP's optional Inbound Fax Client will be able to manage all incoming faxes using Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows directories.
