Corporate Smalltalk Consulting, Ltd., a Canadian-based company, has recently released its new Fax Reader 3.0.2 iOS app designed to enable users to view multiple-page TIFF files created by standard office fax machines. With the app, users can quickly and easily read every page a faxed document without any errors.
Since its introduction to the market, Fax Reader has been helping users to view TIFF/TIF files generated by fax machines through iOS devices. It helps users to view multi-page faxes by importing the entire file into its storage. After it has been imported, it undergoes pre-rendering to ensure the fax is optionally re-scaled to be optically correct in size.
The newly released Fax Reader 3.0.2 app now includes an annotation capability, which allows users to write on or sign the TIFF. Users can add notes, make corrections or complete a contract with their actual signature.
"Fax machines are a legacy technology, straddling the 19th to 21st centuries," said company President John McIntosh. "Until they become extinct, Fax Reader offers an easy, integrated solution for easily viewing multi-page and highly-detailed faxes on any iOS device."
The variety of other features added to the app include the ability to convert fax/TIFF files or single pages to PDF; printing to IOS supported printers; the ability to email individual pages or entire documents as a TIFF or PDF; optional rescaling for fixing fax aspect ratios; enhanced cached Dropbox (News - Alert) file download compatibility; and responsive scrolling and zooming through hundreds of fax pages.
To start using the app, users require an iPhone (News - Alert), iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 7.x, or iOS 5.x, with 9.5 MB or more space.
The new Fax Reader 3.0.2 is currently available for $6.99 (USD) exclusively through the iOS App Store in the utilities category.
