ShoreTel (News - Alert) is bringing enterprise-class benefits to small businesses with the release of a new simple unified communications solution.

The ShoreTel Small Business Edition 100 (SBE (News - Alert) 100) has been designed to address the requirements of small businesses but it still provides the benefits and functionality typically available to large enterprises. 

This integrated hardware and software package has the ability to provide organizations with up to 100 users at five or fewer locations. The SBE 100 also includes all the features and functionalities that come with other popular solutions of ShoreTel.

As most standard functions can be done by users with basic IT knowledge and skills, SBE 100 can be used by small businesses that do not have a team of IT professionals.

“The ShoreTel SBE 100 brings enterprise-class benefits to small business environments, helping owners empower their employees with productivity-boosting UC applications, while delivering exceptional ease of management and low total cost of ownership,” said Peter Blackmore (News - Alert), ShoreTel CEO.

Small businesses can easily integrate the ShoreTel SBE 100 with their current communications infrastructure. The solution can scale seamlessly and it does not require any hardware change to go from a small system to a large system with thousands of users.

ShoreTel has included several productivity-boosting capabilities in the SBE 100 such as desktop call control and Unified Messaging.

Nexus Risk Services, an Australian-based insurance broker is rolling out the ShoreTel SBE 100 solution to five sites and 66 users.

ShoreTel provides simple unified communications platforms, including business phone systems, applications, and mobile UC solutions.
