The relatively low cost structure of Internet Protocol (IP), as well as a number of other services, is being launched upon the IP platform so that both individual and enterprise users can enjoy benefits of these services at reduced costs without compromising its quality aspect.
Sagemcom, a provider of Fax over Internet Protocol or ‘FoIP’ solutions, has announced that XMediusFAX, its boardless fax server product, offers full compatibility with collaboration services by Avaya (News - Alert), a well known company that offers enhanced business collaboration and communication technologies.
Primarily focusing its attention at broadband markets comprising of digital home, digital set-top box, broadband and residential terminals, telecom and energy, management of documents such as printing terminals, and digital production workflow, the company is to present in five continents through employee strength of around 4600.
Its XMediusFAX FoIP solution is a low cost product for streamlined enterprise faxing that offers a secure, scalable and bankable alternative to companies. Avaya has successfully tested it for compliance with its Avaya IP Office 8.0.

Status of Avaya’s Technology Partner allows Sagemcom to create new products that are further tested by the Avaya Solution Interoperability and Test Lab for compliance with its range of solutions. A qualified team of Avaya engineers designs a detailed test plan for all these applications, according to which their compatibility is further tested. It helps the enterprises to equip their network with advanced capabilities keeping their previous infrastructure intact. Additionally, it also improves the speed of deployment of new applications, and considerably cuts down the implementation costs as well.
