IP Fax Thought Leaders to Converge on SIPNOC US 2012
By Rich Steeves, TMCnet Managing Editor
There are many conferences and events that one can attend if one is interested in learning more about the technology and communications space. If one is particularly interested in various forms of IP communications technologies, such as VoIP or IP fax, then one such upcoming event is SIPNOC US 2012.
The event will be held from June 25-27 at the Hyatt Dulles Hotel in Herndon, Virginia. The two-day event will focus on both challenges and opportunities that companies face when opting to deploy SIP communications technology, ranging from VoIP to IP fax and more.
“SIPNOC was conceived as a meeting place for network operators to come together to share their deployment experiences and ideas on how to make IP communications better, and provide tangible results that further accelerate the development and worldwide propagation of SIP and SIP network services,” said SIP Forum President and Managing Director, Marc Robins (News - Alert) in a press release. “We expect SIPNOC US 2012 to pick up where last year’s inaugural event left off and be far more than just an educational conference, but a meeting of the brightest technical minds from across the global networking operator community.”
The conference is open to telecommunications providers, major backbone operators, interconnect and wholesale solution providers, ISPs, cable operators and large enterprises that wish to undertake SIP projects in the near future.
At the conference, vendors and attendees will attend a variety of panels on many important topics in the space today, including Voice over IP, IP-PBX (News - Alert) and IP fax. Industry experts will make presentations, there will be opportunities for networking, and chances to meet with committees and tasks groups made up of thought leaders in the space. Hot topics this year include the relationship between SIP and the smart grid, video conferencing, and fax over IP.
