Companies everywhere are beginning to recognize the value of leveraging social networking and social media to drive recognition for their brand and attract customers. Power players like HP and Best Buy have Facebook (News - Alert) pages, Twitter accounts and social communities to leverage this key approach to market dominance.
Now, according to this announcement, Sagemcom is also jumping on board. The company, which is a major manufacturer of communication terminals and provider of IP fax technology, has announced the launch of its Facebook page. Not only can Sagemcom customers take advantage of information and networking within this portal, the company has also decided to launch a competition.
All fans are invited to participate in race to win IP fax provider, Sagemcom’s new cult product: the Sixty Telephone. The contest has been launched in celebration of the new Facebook page. By participating in the competition, all fans have a chance to win the famous phone.
To participate, fans simply log on to the application Sixty Game and answer three questions correctly. The competition ends July 3, 2011 and winners of the Sixty Telephone will be drawn one week later.
But that’s not all – Sagemcom has also created three original videos to celebrate the launch of the Facebook page. These videos illustrate the success of the orange Sixty phone and the launch of the black piano version.
