New Session Border Controllers Unveiled by Ingate

Ingate Systems (News - Alert) has unveiled new Ingate SIParator 96 E-SBC and Ingate Firewall 2960, two high-capacity products that enable secure SIP communications such as SIP trunking and Unified Communications (News - Alert) beyond the protected enterprise network.


Officials with Ingate said that the SIParator 96 and Firewall 2960 are the highest-capacity products offered by the company to-date. 

They are in addition to a complete refresh of the full line of award-winning Ingate Firewalls and SIParators. 

“Businesses are accelerating their adoption of SIP trunking and are beginning to expand their use of SIP to Unified Communications,” said Steven Johnson (News - Alert), president, Ingate Systems, in a statement. 

Johnson said that this is generating a demand for proven solutions like Ingate’s E-SBCs that can handle the rise in SIP usage. 

He said that Ingate’s new Firewalls and SIParators meet the capacity needs of businesses of every size at an affordable price. 

Company officials claimed that Ingate’s all-star line-up includes solutions for enterprises of all sizes, Firewall 1190/SIParator 19 are designed for small enterprises. They can handle up to 50 concurrent voice (or RTP) sessions. Both have three 10/100 Mbit/s interfaces; Ingate Firewall 1510/SIParator 5, which are designed for the SMB market. Both can handle up to 150 concurrent voice (or RTP) sessions and feature a hard disk drive. Both have four 1000 Mbit/s interfaces and Ingate Firewall 1560/SIParator 56 that are designed for medium-to-large-sized businesses. 

They can handle up to 400 concurrent voice (or RTP) sessions and feature a hard disk drive. Both have four 1000 Mbit/s interfaces. 

According to company officials Ingate Firewall 1660/SIParator 66 are designed for large enterprises. They can handle up to 800 concurrent voice (or RTP) sessions and feature a hard disk drive. Both have four 1000 Mbit/s interfaces. 

Company officials said that this range of products may be upgraded to the next higher model with firmware, providing maximum flexibility for the customer who can invest in only as much capacity as presently needed with an option to grow capacity without replacing the hardware.
