Epygi Technologies Partners with Red Box Recorders

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Epygi (News - Alert) Technologies has announced compatibility with Red Box Recorders to help make selecting VoIP solutions even easier for customers.

Red Box offers ‘best of breed’ quality and reliability in equipment that meets the highly specific voice recording needs of different sectors. Similar to Epygi Quadros, Red Box Recorders are scalable. This capability makes them the perfect choice for small to medium businesses that have much to gain from VoIP applications.

According to Epygi, Red Box solutions are also capable of working with a mixture of VoIP and legacy phones. This is a common situation for several companies that want to amortize their current traditional telephony systems while transitioning to VoIP. Businesses using Red Box voice recorders with their traditional telephony systems can upgrade to VoIP without replacing their recorders. This feature encourages the companies to make the move to IP telephony.

Red Box recorders boast several features including easy to use products designed for users with a range of technical experience. For example, users can access and replay calls directly from a PC, send calls by e-mail or store them discretely. A feature called ‘Record on demand’ allows any extension to be recorded at the touch of a button. The solution also features browser-based administration, and scalable in terms of the ability to record channels ( from 10 lines to thousands).

Epygi explains that businesses needing quality monitoring, incident analysis, real time incident management support and legal compliance will benefit from Red Box’s ability to record, store and instantly retrieve calls.

Mario Cuello, president and CEO of Epygi Technologies, said in a statement that similar to Epygi, Red Box is a natural solution for financial and legal services, as well as certain types of call centers. He noted that their interoperability with Epygi products makes them a strategic choice for combining a recording application with IP technology.

Texas-based Epygi Technologies designs and manufactures feature-rich IP PBXs, voice over IP gateways and cost-saving conference servers.

Red Box Recorders provides digital recording and software solutions from voice and data capture to storage, event logging, retrieval, playback and analysis.
