Not all those who wander are lost, is a phrase I love because innovators are wanderers, exploring opportunity around every bend. SD-WAN is one of the first stops on the roadmap of digital transformation, and many are finding a final destination in SASE.

Versa Networks named its first Chief Financial Officer, Lalit Kumar. Kumar joins executive leadership with a 20-year track record of success, and is well-equipped to further develop the SASE leader’s financial infrastructure, teams and processes to augment the company explosive growth.

“Great people build world-class products and serve illustrious companies,” noted Kumar. “The opportunity to work with the most talented minds and serve the most demanding customers is why I am so excited to be the first CFO at Versa Networks. I look forward to building the finance organization and helping take Versa to the next level.”

After 10 years at Dell (News - Alert) cutting his teeth, Kumar made his way to NetSuite, where revenue reached $1 billion and Oracle eventually acquired in a landmark deal. Then there was Medallia where he played a pivotal role in launching a successful IPO as well as the company doubling its annual reoccurring revenue over the course of three years.

“Lalit brings proven leadership in driving growth, successful exits, and building processes that Versa will leverage to continue on our aggressive growth trajectory,” said Kelly Ahuja, CEO with Versa Networks. “We look forward to benefiting from his proven expertise in scaling startups as we continue our rapid growth and global expansion to meet rising worldwide demand for Versa SASE.”

Digital transformation is not optional anymore, and with this shift in thinking, comes massive interest in cloud, SD-WAN and SASE to support the remote workforce in a secure and reliable fashion.
