The struggles of being a homeowner do not stop during quarantine. In fact, one could say during our WFH reality it’s easier to get to projects around the house; projects like pest control, planting a garden or building a patio. What if I told you SD-WAN is helping the consumer complete these tasks?

Pest control service provider Rollins Inc. selected Fortinet Secure SD-WAN to enhance security, application performance, user experience and network reliability. With a roster of over two million customers around the world, SD-WAN ensures Rollins can remain business as usual.

Rollins required a solution capable of supporting 700 locations, and unify the network in replacing a legacy architecture comprised of traditional routers and infrastructure much in need of an upgrade to address constant network outages and inconsistent application performance.

The deployment of the Fortinet (News - Alert) Secure SD-WAN solution provided each branch with a boost in network speeds up to 10 times. In selecting the FortiExtender, Rollins was able to implement a secondary WAN link via LTE (News - Alert) connectivity, supplement MPLS links and cut costs as a result. With the platforms’s centralized management, Rollins is able to scale the deployment at a rapid rate. And in putting the FortiCASB, FortiClient and Fortigate to work, the rodent, insect and pest control firm is able to enable an environment to support a robust remote workforce.

Kevin Morrison, VP ITC Operations, Rollins noted “Fortinet Secure SD-WAN addressed our connectivity, security and management challenges with a comprehensive solution supporting advanced routing, SD-WAN and security in a single appliance. With integrated SD-WAN functionality and security, we are able to simultaneously improve application performance and our overall security posture. The current state of the world has really re-emphasized the positive impact of Fortinet Secure SD-WAN for us. We were quickly able to support remote employees and ensure continued connectivity globally, and we have also still been able to remotely test, implement, and deploy Fortinet solutions in our branch offices.”

What’s in your WAN?
