Just like a website, the content and applications of an organization still have to travel over wires to remote locations. Websites use content delivery network (CDN) to make the images, video and data available quickly and efficiently to the end user to deliver the best possible experience. Aryaka just announced it has integrated CDN in SmartACCESS, the first-to-market clientless SD-WAN solution with dynamic CDN to provide best-in-class performance for applications, security, consolidation and global deployment.

Aryaka (News - Alert) has a global SD-WAN solution delivered as a service, bringing together purpose-built private network, optimization and acceleration technique connectivity to cloud platforms with network visibility. But as organizations continue to increase the amount of content they create and share, Aryaka wanted to create a better delivery system.

Even though SD-WAN technologies have improved enterprise branch office and datacenter connectivity, remote and mobile users have been struggling with slow access to corporate resources and poor app performance. This has resulted in lost productivity.

"Global enterprises are increasingly struggling with real-time application performance, especially for remote and mobile users. This adversely impacts productivity and increases costs as well as complexity for IT. We're excited to introduce the first solution to software-define remote access, by combining Aryaka's global SD-WAN and dynamic CDN capabilities to deliver faster performance for enterprise remote access without requiring any additional software clients or appliances," said Shawn Farshchi, Aryaka's President and CEO.

The problem Aryaka has highlighted is the mandatory appliances of SD-WANs. SmartACCESS will not require additional hardware or software clients, making it the first company to address the performance challenges by software-defining remote access. According to the company, SmartACCESS will increase the speed of application performance for remote and mobile users by up to three fold while consolidating and simplifying VPN infrastructure, improving security and visibility of all remote and mobile user activity, and speeding global deployment in hours with the ability to scale in minutes.

Some of the key features of SmartACCESS include: a global private network; WAN optimization, dynamic IP app acceleration; intelligent DNS-based routing; global load balancing; and BYOD support.

SmartACCESS has been deployed in full production by 15 large global enterprises delivering real-world results, including raising productivity for sales, marketing, and IT; lowering VPN deployments, saving on operational costs; and reducing access to applications by hundreds of milliseconds.
