Yammer (News - Alert), Inc., the premier provider of enterprise social networks, recently appointed former Salesforce.com executive, David Obrand as the vice president of Global Sales.
Obrand holds more than 20 years of experience in sales, technology, operations and management. His vast experience will help Yammer, one of the fastest growing San Francisco companies, to meet its set targets.
“David’s expertise in enterprise technology sales will be a key asset for the company’s next phase of innovation and growth,” said David Sacks, CEO of Yammer, in a release.
In his new role, Obrand will be responsible for overseeing worldwide sales and further accelerating the adoption of Yammer across enterprises both domestically and abroad.
Prior to joining Yammer, he worked as vice president of vertical sales at Salesforce.com (News - Alert), where he spent almost 10 years establishing a record of revenue over-achievement.

Before joining Salesforce.com, Obrand held sales and business development positions at leading technology companies such as Promptu Corporation, Sagent Technology and Siebel Systems (News - Alert).
The global sales organization, under his leadership, will drive the expansion of the company’s footprint while building on Yammer’s successful implementations in major corporations across almost every industry.
Academically, Obrand holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science at Claremont McKenna College.
