This week, Ubisense released a suite of location intelligence applications that target particular challenges often faced by communication and service providers.
The suite of location intelligence applications use the Ubisense myWorld platform, which gives users a map-driven view of their network status and assets, whether in the field or office, creating a broader realm of communication for employees. Presented in a Google (News - Alert)-Map style, the app allows service providers to easily share and update information on the map. If a user is not connected to the internet the information can still be entered, and when re-connected the information will automatically update, sharing information with ease and prioritizing assignments.
The three applications introduced today consist of Damage Assessment, Network Operations Portal and Vegetation Management.
Ubisense Damage Assessment restructures the data collection process that gives user a faster assessment of the resources available-reducing repair times. It also helps service providers communicate with customers during outages, creating more accurate Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR) predictions.
Ubisense Network Operations Portal provides users with the ability to utilize critical information to create a visualization of what is happening on the network with a web map display. This allows service providers to predict and prioritize existing and potential network issues faster than ever before.
Ubisense Vegetation Management combines information from the GIS with customer locations and vegetation models to provide a complete view of vegetation operations. This can lead to efficient scheduling and consistent prioritizing.
“By collaborating with our customers during various operational situations, such as severe storms, we have gained invaluable insight into the lack of visibility and process inefficiencies that have plagued these organizations for far too long,” said Peter Batty, chief technology officer-geospatial, Ubisense. “We are working with our customers to reinvent utility and telecommunications operational processes, and by leveraging the Ubisense myWorld platform we can translate their vision into rapidly deployable solutions. These three applications are the first of many that customers want and need.”
Utilizing Ubisense myWorld platform can bring vital information together in a singular network, creating seamless communication and increasing work efficiency.
