Productivity and mobility often go hand in hand in the sales world, and sales force automation (SFA) can address these issues efficiently. And yet adoption of SFA applications and technologies by sales reps is still a challenge for many organizations, particularly those with an entrenched mobile culture in place.
To tackle these issues, it is helpful to have some form of rich communication solution in place. Oracle (News - Alert) has announced an updated release of the Oracle Sales Cloud, including enhancements for sales productivity as well as an improved SFA mobile experience. New features focus on efficiency, effectiveness and onboarding as well as making the SFA mobile experience easier for sales representatives and managers without the need for system training or data entry and reporting chores.
The latest release of Oracle Sales Cloud focuses on giving sales reps anywhere and anytime access, regardless of whether they are using desktop or mobile devices. Real-time predictive analytics are designed to help reps focus on the deals that have the highest probability of closing to better achieve their sales targets and prioritize their time more efficiently.
"Today's sales environment is competitive and challenging, and organizations need technology that simplifies processes and empowers staff to sell more efficiently," said Siva Sundaresan, group vice president, Oracle Sales Cloud. "The enhancements to Oracle Sales Cloud reinforce Oracle's commitment to deliver simple and smart sales automation solutions. With the latest release, Oracle Sales Cloud offers sales teams a simple design, more intelligence, and greater mobility to help optimize customer interactions, increase sales effectiveness and efficiency, and drive revenue."
Other enhancements to Oracle Sales Cloud include real-time configurable dashboards that let sales managers and executives focus on areas at risk and potentially problematic deals. This shifts the priorities to targeted areas and prevents users from spending their valuable time collecting data.
Oracle Sales Cloud also offers an easy migration path to the cloud as it is easily integrated with a number of on-premise SFA systems. These include Oracle Siebel, Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
"Twenty years after they were invented, the number one reason for the failure of SFA deployments has been the lack of adoption by field sales users who see little to no value in the amount of data they are asked to enter," said Bruce Daley, vice president and principal analyst, Constellation Research. "Owning many of the most successful first generation products, Oracle kept this requirement in mind when designing the user interface for Oracle Sales Cloud. Oracle deliberately chose to give its enterprise applications a consumer like look-and-feel and provide a colorful, contemporary, graphic user interface and has automated as much of the data entry as possible."
