D2 Technologies (News - Alert), together with NewPace Technology Development Inc., has announced a “green button" native user experience that impeccably syndicates comprehensive rich communication services (RCS), VoLTE (IR.92) and ViLTE (IR.94) video calls using Node-H's LTE (News - Alert) femtocell.
There will be a demo conducted after both companies effectively complete interoperability testing of the joint solution. This test gives positive feedback to mobile network operators, who will accept complete IMS functionality as they change over from legacy voice services to LTE and begin to offer RCS, VoLTE and ViLTE (Video over LTE) via IMS.
According to Brent Newsome, vice president of business development, NewNet (News - Alert) Messaging Business Unit, this demonstration provides operators a live experience of the mobile network of the future, where voice, data, video, and rich communication services are all natively embedded on mobile devices as a compelling product suite using modern IP technology.
NewPace's advanced rcsConnect family of solutions has been fueling RCS for more than three years. Now the joint solutions from both the companies comprise complete suite of RCS 5.1 services such as: presence, instant messaging, group chat, file transfer, VoIP (IR.92) and video calling (IR.94), inter-operator routing (IR.90), IP Short-message Gateway (News - Alert) (IP-SM-GW) and RCS network API solutions for mobile operators.
This assortment of solutions can be positioned inside a mobile operator's existing IMS network or as a stand-alone application in 2G and 3G networks for those who have not yet deployed IMS functionality, or as a hosted solution integrated with the operator network. Whereas, the Node-H LTE software uses Broadcom's LTE System-on-a-Chip, and supports 150Mbps downlink and 50Mbps uplink, to offer more accessibility to users.
"We're very happy to co-operate with D2 and Newpace to demonstrate that VoLTE is available and working right now," said Mike Cronin, CEO of Node-H.
D2 Technologies and NewPace Technology are taking part in Mobile Asia Expo to also give a demo of mCUE 4G running on a Google Nexus 5 by LG Android (News - Alert) phone connecting to an IMS enabled RCS server from NewPace Technology via a Node-H LTE femtocell.
