Provider of telematics technology and vehicle fleet location-based services, Webtech Wireless Inc. recently introduced its WT5130 Locators with next-generation 3G cellular network connectivity for mid-tier fleets.
Designed for scalability, the WT5130 Locator provides a select range of options to service fleets and light transportation fleets in commercial and government markets at an optimal price point.
Fleet operators are able to choose to add components to meet their individual fleet needs like EOBRs and the award-winning Webtech Wireless MDT 3100 In-Cab solution or a Garmin (News - Alert) device with Quadrant Job Management and turn-by-turn visual and voice instructions.
In a statement, Ernie Chatham, vice president, Quadrant Products and Services at Webtech Wireless, said, "Customers who need more than simple track and trace functionality, but don’t need the extended features of the WT7000 series Locators will love this new device and its price. Adding 3G network capability to the 5100 series provides an affordable option to fleet operators who want to take advantage of this new cellular network footprint while future proofing their fleet."
Officials said that a fleet operator with temperature-sensitive cargo can also configure the device to monitor temperature fluctuations and provide real-time alerts.
Ideal for newer fleets, the WT5130 3G increases the capability to handle more data at a faster rate. It truly showcases Webtech’s continuing innovation, vision, and commitment to customers for the long term.
"Our leadership position in GPS location-based technology has enabled us to create a new locator platform with numerous applications across many industries. As with all of our Locators, the WT5130 has been designed as a rugged and reliable solution to increase productivity, simply achieve regulatory standards, reduce costs, and improve the safety and security of workers and mobile assets," said Scott Edmonds, president and CEO.
