The Bahamas Telecommunications Company (BTC), the leading telecoms operator in the Bahamas, has picked up Syniverse (News - Alert) as a preferred global mobile solutions provider.
Syniverse will provide BTC with roaming, messaging, network and real-time intelligence solutions. With the help of Syniverse services, BTC will be able to strengthen quality of service, improve operational efficiencies and rapidity resolve problem.
Adoption of Syniverse will also allow BTC to improve quality of experience for both BTC’s subscribers and the millions of inbound roamers who visit the Bahamas each year.
Syniverse will offer many of its roaming and messaging services, including data and financial clearing, signaling and SMS and MMS interoperability services to BTC. Apart from these services, BTC will also adopt a number of the company’s advanced real-time intelligence and next-generation network capabilities. Syniverse will supply these services to BTC over a single connection to the Syniverse IP Packet eXchange (IPX) network, a strong backbone that offers improved capabilities and efficiency while paving the way for a seamless move to LTE (News - Alert)/4G and beyond.
