North Texas Children’s Anesthesia, LLC (NTCA (News - Alert)), out of Southlake, Texas, has inked a three-year billing services contract with Zotec Partners. NTCA is a private group of physicians with a combined subspecialty experience of more than 100 years in neonatal/pediatric anesthesia.

Officials with Zotec Partners said that the company’s internally developed IVR system allows for automated and custom scripted calls to be made to patients, which will help NTCA optimize self-pay or patient responsibility balances.

Company officials said that the IVR in-bound phone system enables patients to make payments or changes to insurance information instantly and automatically.

“The pressure of increasing popularity in Healthcare Savings Accounts and other high-deductible plans is being felt in nearly every practice across the country,” said Dr. Glen Wyant, managing partner of North Texas Children's Anesthesia, in a statement.

Dr. Wyant said that using the outbound phone dialer, Zotec can touch the patient eight to nine times throughout the entire revenue cycle versus just a couple of times, which is typical for other billing providers.

According to company officials with Zotec’s EBC Decision Support software, NTCA gains instant and real-time metrics for pertinent client and practice information, enabling the group to more proactively manage its business.

NTCA collaborates with more than 100 pediatric specialists to provide services at multiple medical facilities.

Children with complex medical problems are cared for in many institutions throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

The group brings one-on-one physician anesthesia to children to help ensure a successful surgery and is an anesthesia consultant for many neonatal and pediatric critical care beds at several of the Dallas/Plano medical centers.

“Our expert staff and trusted technology are able to handle all aspects of anesthesiology billing,” said Craig Mills, partner of anesthesia billing operations for Zotec Partners.

Mills said that the company’s collection team scrutinizes the accuracy of each and every account to ensure maximum reimbursement.

“We take care of our clients’ businesses so they can take care of their patients,” he added.
