Indeed, this new product in the RPM line offers individual outlet control with remote restart, monitoring and management for all connected devices, making it a great choice for security systems, retail point of sale systems, telephone/VoIP systems, servers and network peripherals.

The two-port RPM1521E is especially useful for system administrators that manage one or more remote locations. With a user-friendly, Web-based interface, users can easily control power to attached devices from practically anywhere with any standard Web browser. Needless to say, this enables quick resolution of equipment lockups.

If that wasn’t enough, the RPM1521E even boasts a ‘ping’ feature that automatically detects and reports when a device is locked up or not functioning properly. In such an event, users can configure the device to send a text message or email to individuals or groups when a device has stopped working. The RPM1521E can also be configured to immediately reboot a device if a lockup occurs. Alternatively, devices can be restarted manually or restarts can be scheduled via the RPM1521E’s Web interface.

Of course, access to connected devices is kept secure via a user name and password, along with security features like SYSLOG, Web API function and SSL encryption, as well as HTTPs and TLS email encryption. On the device end, each port offers surge protection for connected equipment with a surge energy rating of 800 Joules. The RPM1521E also has a cTUVus safety certification, tested to UL60951-1 standards.
