Managed service provider (MSP) eLynx Technologies has expanded its IT infrastructure services within ViaWest's downtown Las Vegas data center. The move augments the eLynx disaster recovery plan by outsourcing its colocation services in a geographically dispersed, secure data center.

eLynx provides web-based monitoring, exception-based alarming and field automation services tailored to the oil and gas industry. The company selected ViaWest's Las Vegas data center because of its low disaster risk.

ViaWest is a privately held data center, cloud computing and MSP operating throughout North America. The company recently added its Lone Mountain facility, providing more than 100,000 square feet of raised floor space across three premium data centers in the Las Vegas area. Each center has multiple network, cooling and power redundancies built in.

The new facility is designed for extreme fault tolerance and high availability, and offers more than 70,000 square feet of raised floor space. VIaWest's services are backed by a 100 percent SLA for power, bandwidth and network availability, in addition to a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.
