Riello PCI (News - Alert) India, a provider of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) solutions, has expanded its range of Master HP series UPS with a new, higher input 600kVA model to deliver enhanced power protection solutions to customers.

Riello Master HP series delivers critical continuity for telecommunication networks, IT & ITES organizations, data centers, health care, educational institutions, banking and industrial facilities. Offering a wide range of power protection systems ranging from 1KVA to 6400 KVA, Master HP range is ideal for the power protection of corporate wide, large network and industrial applications.

Thanks to its parallel redundant configuration, Master HP UPSs boast higher energy efficiency in data centers and other mission critical applications. In these scenarios, the Master HP “Energy Saving” function allows the intelligent management of energy consumption with a gradual activation of the UPS modules, depending on the actual needs of the load. The Master HP 600 is also "Smart Grid Ready."

"Like the rest of the Riello UPS Master HP family, the brand new 600 kVA model is designed to meet the needs of the most demanding installations, offering the highest levels of protection," said Anil Munjal, Riello PCI's director, in a statement.

"With particular attention given to energy efficiency, reliability and compactness; the Master HP 600 model is one of the most compact UPS available today," Munjal added.

The UPS systems use double conversion online technology achieved with IGBT and DSP control. This feature of the UPS is especially suited for a variety of mission critical applications, offering guaranteed power protection along with high performance filtering for any type of IT and industrial load.

The “Smart Active” function allows the unit to monitor the condition of the mains power, and then selects the best operating mode to maintain resilience whilst increasing operational efficiency to 99 percent.

In addition to these, the Master HP series shares advanced battery management technology with the traditional Master MPS models, offering maximum battery performance and prolonged design life. The unit also features a range of advanced communication and connectivity options for easy remote management.

A recent TMCnet report finds that 50 percent of accounting firms have had their reputations damaged to some extent by IT outages and downtime can cost a company an average of $150,000 per year. Despite the average company experiences 14 hours of IT downtime per year, 28 percent of companies haven't tested their backup plans, and more than three-quarters have found tape backup failures.
